The Eagles are without Jalen Hurts, the Buccaneers are without Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson is out again. Sunday's early window is a quarterback-news slate.
FantasyDailies | NFL Week 6 | Sunday, October 18, 2026
Sunday's early window opens with an international game at Wembley, where the
Texans meet the
Jaguars at 9:30 a.m. ET, and continues with seven 1 p.m. ET kickoffs. The headlines are all at quarterback: the
Eagles start Tanner McKee because Hurts is out, the
Buccaneers turn to Jalon Daniels with Mayfield out, the
Ravens again go with Tyler Huntley, and the
Bears have not confirmed Caleb Williams. Everything below is built from the Saturday injury reports, so confirm the inactive lists about 90 minutes before each kickoff on the injuries page and the NFL player news.
Week 6 is a short slate: the Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings are on bye, and Jacksonville is not. The rest of the weekend includes the Cardinals at the Rams, the Chargers at the Chiefs and the Bills at the Raiders in the afternoon, the Cowboys at the Packers on Sunday night and the Commanders at the 49ers on Monday. Find all of it on the Week 6 hub and the NFL schedule.

TEXANS AT JAGUARS (WEMBLEY, 9:30 A.M. ET)
Houston (1-4) is coming off a 26-3 win at Tennessee, and Jacksonville (4-1) beat the Eagles 19-17 last Sunday. Each result is on the Texans-Titans box score and the Eagles-Jaguars box score. Kickoff is 9:30 a.m. ET at Wembley Stadium in London, carried on NFL Network with local Jacksonville affiliates.
Injuries. The Texans are without running back David Montgomery (groin), receiver Tank Dell (knee) and safety Jalen Pitre (shoulder), and cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram and linebacker Henry To'oTo'o are questionable. The Jaguars are without cornerback Montaric Brown (hamstring) and long snapper Ross Matiscik, and cornerback Jaylon Jones is questionable. Houston's skill-position losses matter for volume; check the volume board for how carries and targets get reassigned.
What to watch. Houston is without Montgomery and Dell, and Jacksonville comes in at 4-1. The early start means inactive news arrives early too, so read the NFL player news before you lock any Texans or Jaguars players for the 9:30 kickoff. The head-to-head matchup tool and the situational spots page add the matchup context.
STEELERS AT BUCCANEERS
Pittsburgh (3-2) beat Indianapolis 34-22 last week, while Tampa Bay (1-4) beat Dallas 24-16 on Thursday night. This is the game where the quarterback news is biggest: Baker Mayfield is out with a thumb injury, and the Buccaneers are expected to start Jalon Daniels. Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (rib) and receiver David Sills are also out, and cornerback Benjamin Morrison is doubtful.
Steelers. Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback and has no injury listed. Receiver DK Metcalf was questionable on Friday and was removed from the report on Saturday with no designation, while tight end Pat Freiermuth was added Saturday as questionable with a calf injury. Running back Rico Dowdle, cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Jamel Dean and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton are questionable, and Roman Wilson, Ben Skowronek and DeShon Elliott are out. Look at the defense vs. receivers before you build around the Pittsburgh passing game.
What to watch. A backup-level quarterback and a thin secondary change both sides of the Tampa Bay ledger. The defense vs. quarterbacks and the unders page show how each defense has been defending quarterbacks and receivers.
SAINTS AT GIANTS
New Orleans (1-4) lost 23-13 to Minnesota last Sunday, and New York (3-1-1) tied Washington 27-27. The Saints have running back Alvin Kamara (back) and receiver Chris Olave (illness) both questionable, and linebacker Kaden Elliss and edge Anfernee Jennings are out. The Giants are without cornerback Colton Hood, tight end Theo Johnson and safety Tyler Nubin, and left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin), right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) and edge Abdul Carter (calf) are questionable.
What to watch. Two possible offensive-line absences for New York and two possible skill-position absences for New Orleans make the inactive list the real story. The NFL player news tells you when the news breaks. The box scores for last week are on the Vikings-Saints box score and the Giants-Commanders box score.
TITANS AT COLTS
Tennessee (0-5) lost 26-3 to Houston, and Indianapolis (2-3) lost 34-22 at Pittsburgh. The Titans are without safety Kevin Winston Jr. (quad), and running back Tyjae Spears (knee) is questionable. The Colts are without receiver Ashton Dulin and linebacker Jaylon Carlies, and tight end Tyler Warren (groin) is questionable.
What to watch. Indianapolis is at home against a winless team, and a home team in that spot can produce game-script volume for its running backs. The volume board has the numbers on who is getting carries, and the team streaks and against-the-spread page track the streaks.
JETS AT PATRIOTS
New York (2-3) beat Cleveland 17-12 last Sunday, and New England (3-2) crushed Las Vegas 45-17. The Jets are without running back Breece Hall (quad), receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger), edge Joseph Ossai (ankle) and guard Dylan Parham (knee), and safety Dane Belton, receiver Omar Cooper Jr. and tight end Kenyon Sadiq (concussion) are questionable. For New England, cornerbacks Carlton Davis III and Karon Prunty are out.
The Patriots' skill players. Receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) is questionable and is eligible to return from injured reserve after missing four games, and running back TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) is also questionable after practicing all week, with a decision expected on Saturday. Quarterback Drake Maye has no designation. Several New England offensive linemen are questionable too: tackles Marcus Bryant and Will Campbell. The latest on all of them is on the NFL player news.
What to watch. This is the AFC East rivalry. The head-to-head matchup tool shows how the two teams have played each other, and the situational spots page gives you the matchup angle without any sample-size claims.
PANTHERS AT EAGLES
Carolina (2-2) is coming off a bye after its 32-26 Sunday night win over Detroit, and Philadelphia (2-3) lost 19-17 at Jacksonville. The big news is at quarterback: Jalen Hurts is out with a blood clot in his calf, and Tanner McKee starts, with six career games. Running back Saquon Barkley is also out with a hamstring injury, along with Will Shipley, Michael Carter II and Jalyx Hunt, and A.J. Epenesa is doubtful. Receiver DeVonta Smith has no designation.
Panthers. Running back AJ Dillon is out, tackle Monroe Freeling is doubtful and tackle Taylor Moton, edge Jaelan Phillips, guard Damien Lewis and defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton are questionable. This game has a different look than the schedule suggested a week ago, so rebuild any Eagles-based DFS or prop research on the start/sit board and the depth charts.
RAVENS AT BROWNS
Baltimore (4-1) beat Atlanta 30-23 in overtime last Sunday night, and Cleveland (3-2) lost 17-12 to the Jets. Lamar Jackson is out with an ankle injury for a second straight week, and Tyler Huntley starts for Baltimore again. Center Cam Jurgens (concussion), tight end Matt Hibner and defensive tackle Broderick Washington are out, and receiver Zay Flowers has no designation. The next possible return for Jackson is Week 7 against Cincinnati, but no one has said he will play.
Browns. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel is out with a back injury, and Cleveland has not been named a starter on the reports we checked. Running back Dylan Sampson is out, and Quinshon Judkins (ankle) is questionable. Receiver KC Concepcion cleared the concussion protocol and will play. Check the NFL player news for the starter before you do anything with a Browns passing prop.
BEARS AT FALCONS
Chicago (3-2) lost 31-7 at Green Bay, and Atlanta (2-3) lost 30-23 in overtime to Baltimore. Michael Penix Jr. was knocked out briefly in that loss and did not play overtime because of rib discomfort, but he is cleared and has no designation this week. Caleb Williams is questionable with a hamstring injury and was a full participant in practice, and the Bears had not confirmed him as the starter at the time of the reports we checked.
Injuries. The Bears are without linebackers T.J. Edwards and Keyshaun Elliott, running back Kyle Monangai and defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo, with defensive backs Tyrique Stevenson and Kyler Gordon questionable. Atlanta is without cornerback C.J. Henderson. A quarterback who is cleared is not always at full strength, so look at the hot page and the red zone page before you commit.
PROP RESEARCH: THE MARKETS WORTH LOOKING AT
We do not quote prices. These are the markets worth researching on a slate this volatile, and the NFL player props page and the NFL prop hit rate board are the places to start:
- Quarterback attempts and completions: a backup in Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, and possibly Chicago, changes the whole range.
- Rushing attempts: Indianapolis against a winless team, and any backfield missing a starter, such as New York and Houston.
- Receptions and receiving yards for returning targets: A.J. Brown, Pat Freiermuth, DK Metcalf and Chris Olave all depend on final inactive news.
- Anytime touchdown: high variance; use the red zone page.
- Game totals: read alongside each team's scoring pace on the unders page.
Numerical hit rates are on the NFL prop hit rate board. We do not print percentages in the article because they change with every game log.
PARLAY RESEARCH
A parlay is a chain of conditions, and every extra leg is another way for the ticket to lose. Build one on the NFL AI parlay builder, run it through the parlay calculator, use the odds converter to turn a price into an implied percentage and try the teaser generator if you like adjusted lines. The heatmap, the Sports Betting Strategy Book and the line check lay out the markets side by side.
- Confirm quarterbacks first. Three of these games have a changed starter.
- Do not stack correlated legs without understanding how they are priced together.
- Check the NFL weather page for the 1 p.m. games.
- Keep stakes small and only bet what you can afford to lose.
The FantasyDailies illustrative parlay. Here is a three-leg ticket built on players, not on a side or a total:
- Drake Maye to throw a touchdown pass. New England scored 45 last week and he has no designation.
- DK Metcalf to record a reception. He was removed from the Steelers' report on Saturday with no designation.
- Zay Flowers to record a reception. He has no designation and is the target Baltimore needs with Huntley at quarterback.
We do not quote prices. Open the NFL AI parlay builder, add the three legs and see what the ticket pays. All three players have to play and have to be in the game plan, so an inactive, a limited role or a backup quarterback breaks it. No ticket is guaranteed.
THE FANTASYDAILIES DFS CORE
This is a six-player pool built on status and role, not salary. It is a starting point for the NFL DFS lineup builder and the NFL DFS edge page, since salaries and inactives move.
- QB: Drake Maye (Patriots). Coming off a 45-point game and with no designation.
- RB: Quinshon Judkins (Browns). Questionable with an ankle, so only after the inactive list.
- WR: DK Metcalf (Steelers). No designation after Saturday.
- WR: DeVonta Smith (Eagles). No designation, but a backup quarterback and a missing Barkley change his game.
- WR: Zay Flowers (Ravens). No designation.
- TE: Pat Freiermuth (Steelers). Questionable with a calf injury, so he is a late call.
The shortlist has two questionable players, so check the inactives and use the lineup shuffler to build backups. Do not roster anyone on this list without confirming his status, and do not assume a backup quarterback produces what the starter did.
ROSTER MANAGEMENT: WEEK 6 BYES
The Bengals, Lions, Dolphins and Vikings are on bye in Week 6, and the Jaguars are not. Before kickoff:
- Check the inactive lists and the injuries page.
- Confirm starting quarterbacks, particularly for the Eagles, Buccaneers, Ravens, Browns and Bears.
- Verify no one in your lineup is on a bye.
- Keep late-kickoff flex options open. The start/sit board and the trade analyzer can help.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Sunday's early window is about quarterbacks and inactives. Three starters are out, a fourth is unconfirmed, and several skill players are questionable. The best card on this slate is built after the inactive lists, not before.
