Seattle and Denver are both 3-2, and a thin Broncos secondary meets one of the league's best receivers on Thursday night in Denver

 | FantasyDailies | NFL Week 6 | October 15, 2026

Thursday Night Football sends the SeahawksSeahawks to Empower Field at Mile High to face the BroncosBroncos. Both teams are 3-2, both are chasing a division leader, and both are working through injuries that change how this game should be researched. Everything below is built to help you prepare, whether you are setting DFS lineups, checking a player prop or putting together a ticket on the NFL AI parlay generator.

Injury designations, inactive lists and lineups can change right up to kickoff. Check the NFL injuries page, the NFL player news and NFL depth charts before you lock anything.

GAME INFORMATION

Denver gets the home crowd and the altitude, which can matter more as the game goes on. Seattle has to manage the road environment, handle Denver's pass rush and avoid the drive-killing mistakes that let a home team control a prime-time game. The full slate is on the Week 6 schedule, the lines, props and weather for every game are on the Week 6 matchups page, and the box score will carry the final once it is played.

HOW BOTH TEAMS GOT TO 3-2

Seattle: a 13-10 win over New England, a 31-7 win at Arizona, a 33-31 loss at Washington, a 30-23 win over the Chargers and then the loss to San Francisco, 32-29, in a game where the Seahawks turned it over four times, three of them fumbles. Ball security is the first thing to watch on Thursday.

Denver: a 31-10 loss at Kansas City, a 20-13 win over Jacksonville, a 30-26 win over the Rams, a 24-14 loss at San Francisco and the win at the Chargers, 23-17. That is 19.4 points a game across five weeks, and the offense has had trouble stretching the field. The NFL offense stats and the NFL defense stats line up the two teams side by side.

Our NFL team streaks tracks how each team has been trending, and the NFL against the spread page shows how both have done against the number all season.

HISTORICAL MATCHUP: SEAHAWKS VS. BRONCOS

These two franchises were AFC West rivals until Seattle moved to the NFC in 2002, and the series has some famous chapters. Seattle's 43-8 win over Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII is the biggest of them. More recently, the Seahawks beat the Broncos 26-20 in 2024.

That history is background, not a forecast. Rosters, coaches and injuries are all different now, and head-to-head records say very little about a short-week game in Denver. If you want every meeting in one place, the NFL head-to-head page lists them, and the NFL spots page covers rest, travel and schedule angles that apply to this specific spot.

THE COACHING SUBPLOT

Seattle's Mike Macdonald faces Denver's Sean Payton in a game between two coaches who build very differently. Macdonald's teams are defense-first and have been strong away from home. Payton's offenses live on scheme and timing, but this Denver offense has been inconsistent. Which side solves the other's approach first decides the game.

INJURY REPORT: THE PLAYERS WHO CHANGE THE GAME

Injuries matter more on a short week, because there is less time to recover and less time to prepare. The designations as of Wednesday and Thursday:

Seattle Seahawks

Denver Broncos

Denver's secondary is the biggest story on either injury report. Losing a cornerback and a safety at the same time exposes the back end against a team that has one of the best receivers in the league. The NFL player news tracks changes as they are announced, and the NFL depth charts shows who is behind each starter.

WHERE THE MATCHUP CREATES OPPORTUNITY

The best way to research a game is to work backward from the matchup, not to start with a name. Here is how each side lines up.

Seattle's passing game against a thinned Denver secondary. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been the centerpiece of the Seahawks' offense, with 603 receiving yards and seven touchdowns through five weeks and more than 100 yards in all but one game. With Denver down two defensive backs, his matchup is the first one to check. Cooper Kupp is the other target to monitor, and his value depends on route share and how Denver chooses to split its coverage. The defense vs. wide receivers shows how every defense has fared against receivers.

The caution is at quarterback. Sam Darnold threw for 168 and 195 yards in his last two games and was sacked eight times across them, and Denver's front has been getting home, with five sacks of Justin Herbert last Sunday. A short-handed secondary does not help much if the ball has to come out early. The defense vs. quarterbacks shows how opposing passers have done against each defense.

Seattle's backfield. With Zach Charbonnet out, the carries go to Emanuel Wilson, George Holani and whoever else is active. Workload is the whole question here, and it only becomes clear when the inactive list is posted. See what the start/sit board says about running backs, and check defense vs. running backs for how Denver has handled them.

Denver's passing game against a Seattle defense that has played well. Bo Nix threw for 123 yards on 16-of-27 passing against the Chargers, and he has averaged under 6.0 yards per attempt in four of five games. Seattle's defense has been one of the better units in the league by efficiency. The passing volume board tracks attempts and interceptions for every quarterback, and Courtland Sutton is the receiver whose target volume matters most for Denver.

There is a counter-argument. If Seattle builds a lead, Denver has to throw more, and volume is not the same as efficiency. A quarterback can attempt plenty of passes without producing yards.

Denver's running game. J.K. Dobbins ran 18 times for 68 yards and a touchdown against the Chargers. Seattle's front is a tougher test, and his workload depends on the score. If Denver stays close, he is central to the plan. If the Broncos fall behind, his carries shrink. The red zone page shows which teams are scoring from close range.

PLAYER PROP RESEARCH: WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE YOU BET

Prices and availability vary, and we do not quote them here. These are the markets worth researching, not assumed lines.

Hit rates and history show how each player has done against numbers like these, and the matchup tells you why. Open the NFL prop hit rate board for the full list, check any player and any number on the prop hit rate checker, and see every posted market on the NFL player props page. A good recent game does not make an over a good bet. The price and the number matter as much as the name, so use the odds converter and the parlay calculator to turn any price into a probability.

PARLAY STRATEGY: BUILDING A TICKET THAT MAKES SENSE

A parlay is a chain of conditions, and each extra leg is another way for the ticket to lose. The goal is a coherent game script, not the longest list of popular names. Build one on the NFL AI parlay generator, which uses our ranking of the best options, run the combined price through the parlay calculator, and check the NFL verdicts page for the side our system has settled on. Our call on the game lives on the verdicts page and nowhere else, so you will always see one side from us.

Think in game scripts. If you expect Seattle to attack Denver's secondary, the receiving leg and the quarterback leg tell the same story, and a quarterback under on the other side could work against it. If Seattle builds a big lead, Denver's passing volume rises even if its efficiency does not. Correlated legs can help or hurt, so make sure the story behind each one is consistent.

The heatmap shows the markets for every game side by side, and the Sports Betting Strategy Book goes through each type of bet from straight bets to parlays to bankroll.

TEASER STRATEGY: IS SIX POINTS WORTH IT?

A teaser moves the point spread in your favor in exchange for a lower payout, and every leg of the teaser has to win. A six-point NFL teaser moves a favorite and an underdog alike. The reason bettors like it is the key numbers: three and seven are the most common margins in football, and a six-point move can carry a spread across both.

Crossing key numbers is not automatically a good bet. The price matters, and so does how many games you add. Each additional game makes the ticket harder to cash. Run any combination through the NFL teaser generator, which prices the teaser and flags the ones built around the key numbers, and check the NFL spots page for rest and travel angles before you put a second game on the ticket. The Week 6 matchups page covers how the numbers move through the week.

DFS VALUE: BUILDING THURSDAY LINEUPS

A small Thursday-night player pool rewards players who score a lot relative to salary, and punishes the ones who barely get on the field. The NFL DFS value page ranks salary against production, and the NFL DFS lineups builds lineups around it.

Players worth evaluating.

Lineup construction.

Once you have a pool, run it through the lineup shuffler to build and rotate multiple lineups without starting over. If the focus is season-long, our fantasy football rankings and the start/sit board are on the site as well. Always check the final salaries and contest rules before you lock a roster.

WEATHER, PACE AND THE TOTAL

Denver's altitude and the late-October temperatures can matter for kicking and for how much the offenses sustain. Check the NFL weather page for the forecast at kickoff. Games that stay low-scoring are easier to study on the NFL unders page, which shows how both teams have fared on totals, and on the hot tonight page, which keeps track of the teams that have been going under. Short-week turnovers and defensive touchdowns can quickly change the scoring pattern, so a pace read is never a sure thing.

GAME SIGNIFICANCE

This game matters because both teams want the season to stay a race. Seattle is chasing San Francisco in the NFC West. Denver is trying to stay within reach of Kansas City in the AFC West. A win gives either team a valuable conference victory and some momentum. A loss drops the loser to 3-3 and raises the pressure on a team that cannot afford to fall further behind.

WHAT TO WATCH

Follow the game on the live scoreboard and see the final on the box score once it is played. For everything else this week, the NFL hub is the starting point.

The strongest approach is to choose the market that best matches your read of the game instead of forcing every thought into one oversized ticket. Football is unpredictable, injuries change the equation and no bet is guaranteed. Do the research, compare the numbers and make every dollar count.
