Week 2 of the NFL season decided to completely ignore whatever we thought we learned in Week 1.
The Saints knocked off Baltimore. Cleveland walked into Tampa Bay and pulled off an upset. Seattle destroyed Arizona. The Raiders are suddenly 2-0. Cincinnati's defense made Houston look nothing like the team that put up 31 points against Buffalo. Carolina embarrassed Atlanta. Dallas put 37 on Washington while Jayden Daniels left with an elbow injury.
And then there was the Jets.
New York took a 17-7 lead into the fourth quarter against 
Green Bay Packers and somehow turned a game that looked like it belonged to them into another one of those games Jets fans will be talking about for the wrong reasons.
That is Week 2.
And if you play fantasy football, DFS or bet the NFL, there is a hell of a lot to digest. Every one of our calls from today is graded and on the public ledger, and the full Week 2 board has every score.
THE BIGGEST SHOCKER: NEW ORLEANS STUNS BALTIMORE
New Orleans Saints 24, 
Baltimore Ravens 17
Baltimore led 14-6 at halftime and looked like it was going to cruise.
Then New Orleans flipped the entire game.
Tyler Shough completed 27 of 34 passes for 252 yards, threw a touchdown and added a rushing touchdown as the Saints came all the way back to beat Baltimore.
Chris Olave was the fantasy star, catching eight passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Lamar Jackson finished with 235 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception while adding 34 rushing yards.
Derrick Henry had 68 rushing yards and a touchdown, but Baltimore's offense disappeared when it mattered — just three points after halftime.
Fantasy takeaway: Olave remains heavily involved and Shough deserves attention in deeper leagues and DFS. The bigger question is Baltimore. Jackson still produced, but the Ravens went cold offensively when it counted. Henry's touchdown saved his fantasy day, but the overall offensive environment was worse than expected. Splits is worth a look on Olave before you chase this week's number — one big game is one big game.
Betting takeaway: one of Sunday's clearest upset results. The lesson isn't necessarily fade Baltimore — it's that New Orleans may be considerably more competitive than the market expected.
THE JETS BLEW IT
Green Bay Packers 20, 
New York Jets 17 OT
This one is going to piss Jets fans off.
New York led 17-7 in the fourth quarter.
Green Bay scored the final 13 points.
Trey Smack eventually hit the game-winning 26-yard field goal in overtime, giving Green Bay the win after the Packers erased the 10-point deficit.
The game was ugly. The Packers managed only 199 total yards and struggled to sustain drives, yet somehow walked out of MetLife with the victory.
Green Bay also fumbled five times but lost only one.
That's not exactly the recipe you draw up for a road victory.
Breece Hall
This was the ugly part for fantasy managers.
Hall carried the ball 16 times for only 29 yards — 1.8 per carry — while Braelon Allen punched in New York's only rushing touchdown from five yards out. Hall did salvage his day through the air, catching all five of his targets for 63 yards, 43 of them on one catch late in the third quarter.
Geno Smith threw for 247 yards and a touchdown on 41 attempts, but New York couldn't finish the game.
Fantasy takeaway: Hall's workload remains important, but today's efficiency was brutal. I'm not abandoning him because of one bad game, but this is absolutely something to monitor — the depth chart shows Allen still very much part of the plan on early downs. Geno's 41 pass attempts are also worth watching. If the Jets continue putting the ball in his hands this frequently, the passing volume could make their receivers more useful than expected.
Betting takeaway: the Jets entered the game with a strong defensive reputation after Week 1. Green Bay found a way to survive despite being outplayed for long stretches — 26:57 of possession to New York's 37:40, and still won it. That's the kind of result that makes Week 3 lines interesting.
THE BIGGEST FANTASY BREAKOUT: TETAIROA MCMILLAN
Carolina Panthers 34, 
Atlanta Falcons 3
This wasn't a game. This was an ass-kicking.
Carolina destroyed Atlanta behind Bryce Young, who threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns.
Tetairoa McMillan continued his excellent start, catching five passes for 101 yards. Darren Waller scored twice.
McMillan has now gone over 100 receiving yards twice in his career. That's significant.
Fantasy takeaway: McMillan is rapidly moving from "interesting young receiver" into weekly fantasy consideration, and Waller just reminded everybody why touchdowns matter. The biggest question is whether today's production represents sustainable usage or whether Atlanta simply got destroyed. Either way, McMillan needs to be on the radar — check the goal-line board for Waller's actual share of the red-zone work before you bank on it repeating.
CLEVELAND JUST BEAT TAMPA BAY
Cleveland Browns 23, 
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19
This was another legitimate upset.
Cleveland won a game that Tampa Bay controlled for stretches, then took over late.
Deshaun Watson threw touchdown passes to Denzel Boston and Blake Whiteheart as Cleveland scored 17 points after halftime.
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa offense managed only 19 points.
Fantasy takeaway: the most interesting name here may not be the obvious one. Boston's 55-yard touchdown immediately puts him on the deep-league and DFS radar. Whiteheart also found the end zone. Don't automatically chase the touchdowns, though — this was a relatively low-scoring game and Cleveland's passing distribution is going to have to be watched before anybody starts treating these guys like weekly starters.
Betting takeaway: Cleveland winning outright qualifies as one of Sunday's more notable surprises. Tampa Bay is now 0-2. That's a much bigger story than one bad afternoon.
CINCINNATI'S DEFENSE JUST CHANGED THE CONVERSATION
Cincinnati Bengals 20, 
Houston Texans 6
Houston scored 31 points against Buffalo in Week 1. Cincinnati held them to six.
That's not a small difference.
Joe Burrow threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns, both to Ja'Marr Chase. Chase caught seven passes for 75 yards — his 14th career game with at least two touchdown catches. Tee Higgins led Cincinnati with 95 receiving yards on five catches.
The Bengals also held Houston to only 60 rushing yards.
Fantasy takeaway: Chase is Chase — two touchdowns today simply reinforce the obvious. But Higgins is the name I want to watch. Five catches for 95 yards without a touchdown gives you a very interesting fantasy profile because his value isn't completely dependent on scoring. Defense vs WR shows exactly which secondaries set up a repeat.
Betting takeaway: the Bengals' defense deserves considerably more respect after this performance. Houston went from 31 points against Buffalo to six against Cincinnati. That's a massive defensive swing.
THE VIKINGS WON A GAME THAT FANTASY MANAGERS HATED
Minnesota Vikings 9, 
Chicago Bears 3
This game was basically a fantasy football crime scene.
Minnesota won. Nobody scored.
Justin Jefferson finished with only three catches for 55 yards. D'Andre Swift caught five passes for 54 yards. Carson Wentz threw for only 143 yards.
Aaron Jones was the fantasy bright spot, carrying 23 times for 105 yards.
But the biggest story was Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams suffered a right hamstring injury and was carted from the field.
Fantasy takeaway: monitor Williams before making any roster decisions — the injury report will carry his status as it firms up. For Minnesota, Aaron Jones remains interesting because of his workload. For Chicago, everything changes if Williams misses time.
PATRIOTS DEFENSE PUTS PITTSBURGH IN A BOX
New England Patriots 20, 
Pittsburgh Steelers 3
New England's defense absolutely dominated, limiting Pittsburgh to three points.
TreVeyon Henderson was the major fantasy development. Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled, and Henderson became New England's primary back and scored a touchdown.
Fantasy takeaway: this is one of the biggest backfield situations to monitor heading into Week 3. If Henderson's role expands, he becomes extremely interesting — the volume board will show the split the moment it firms up. Stevenson's workload and ball security are now worth watching closely.
Betting takeaway: New England's defense is becoming a legitimate weekly consideration.
EAGLES SURVIVE TENNESSEE
Philadelphia Eagles 24, 
Tennessee Titans 20
Philadelphia didn't exactly cruise. Tennessee led early and kept the Eagles uncomfortable throughout the afternoon.
Jalen Hurts eventually engineered the late push Philadelphia needed, and the Eagles escaped. DeVonta Smith caught a 22-yard touchdown from Hurts.
Fantasy takeaway: Hurts remains one of the safest fantasy quarterbacks because his rushing ability gives him a floor other quarterbacks simply don't have. Smith remains extremely valuable because Philadelphia can score without needing him to dominate every target. The bigger takeaway is Tennessee — they are not simply rolling over.
RAIDERS ARE 2-0
Las Vegas Raiders 26, 
Los Angeles Chargers 14
This is one of the biggest developments of the day. The Raiders are 2-0, ending a four-game losing skid to the Chargers.
Kirk Cousins threw three touchdowns and 253 yards. Tre Tucker caught five passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. Cody White caught two touchdown passes — a 13-yarder to go ahead in the third and an 11-yarder in the fourth.
As for Ashton Jeanty, he carried 21 times for 48 yards. The fantasy box score doesn't look spectacular, but the workload absolutely matters — twenty-one carries tells you everything you need to know.
Betting takeaway: Vegas entered the season with expectations that were nowhere near this. Now they're 2-0 and have beaten the Chargers. The Raiders deserve to be treated differently by sportsbooks going forward.
THE CHARGERS HAVE A PROBLEM
Justin Herbert threw for 192 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Omarion Hampton ran for 94 yards on 23 carries, but a late fumble near midfield sealed the game for Las Vegas.
The Chargers are 0-2.
Fantasy takeaway: Hampton's workload remains encouraging despite the fumble. Herbert is the bigger concern — two interceptions today after an uneven opening week is not what fantasy managers wanted to see.
SEATTLE JUST DESTROYED ARIZONA
Seattle Seahawks 31, 
Arizona Cardinals 7
Jaxon Smith-Njigba. That's the story.
Nine catches. 155 yards. Three touchdowns.
Drew Lock threw three touchdown passes while completing 19 of 26 for 235 yards, starting again for the injured Sam Darnold. Emanuel Wilson ran 21 times for 92 yards.
Seattle's defense held Arizona to only 151 total yards.
Fantasy takeaway: JSN isn't sneaking up on anybody anymore. He's the reigning Offensive Player of the Year and he's a legitimate weekly fantasy superstar. And here's the really interesting part: Sam Darnold was injured, Drew Lock stepped in, and the Seattle offense didn't collapse. That's something fantasy managers need to keep watching — Splits on JSN is a genuinely dangerous read right now, in the good way.
SAN FRANCISCO ROLLS
San Francisco 49ers 35, 
Miami Dolphins 13
San Francisco dominated Miami.
Brock Purdy was nearly perfect, going 20 of 22 for 287 yards and two touchdowns. George Kittle caught a touchdown.
And Christian McCaffrey did something bigger than a stat line. Both of his touchdowns — one-yard runs in the first and third quarters — were the 99th and 100th of his career, making him the fourth-fastest player in Super Bowl-era history to reach 100 career touchdowns. He also became just the third player ever to score at least 50 touchdowns for two different franchises, joining Randy Moss and Marshall Faulk — and the split is almost eerie: exactly 50 with Carolina, exactly 50 with San Francisco.
Miami's offense couldn't keep pace.
Fantasy takeaway: McCaffrey is still McCaffrey, and that milestone is a reminder of exactly how long he's been doing this at an elite level. Purdy looks extremely comfortable. Kittle remains one of the most dangerous touchdown-dependent tight ends in football. The Dolphins, meanwhile, have a lot of questions at 0-2.
DALLAS TORCHES WASHINGTON
Dallas Cowboys 37, 
Washington Commanders 20
Dak Prescott had himself a day. Twenty-six completions on 31 attempts. 279 yards. Four touchdowns.
CeeDee Lamb: 8 catches, 153 yards, 2 touchdowns.
Prescott's fourth touchdown pass of the day — a 24-yard connection with Lamb in the fourth quarter — moved him past Tony Romo's franchise mark of 248 career touchdown passes, making him the Cowboys' all-time leader outright.
But the biggest story for Washington was Jayden Daniels. Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow on the final play of the first half, stepped on by his own left guard as he tried to brace himself — the same type of injury that cost him three weeks last season. He was carted off with an air cast.
Fantasy takeaway: Lamb is exactly the player you want in your lineup — Prescott's connection with him looked outstanding. Washington is the situation to watch. Marcus Mariota came on in relief and threw for 111 yards and a score, and he should be expected to start for multiple weeks given the elbow history. That's one of the most important waiver-wire situations in the league right now, because a quarterback change has a massive ripple effect on fantasy receivers — check the free agent wire before Tuesday.
DENVER COMES BACK ON JACKSONVILLE
Denver Broncos 20, 
Jacksonville Jaguars 13
Denver trailed for most of the afternoon before scoring 14 fourth-quarter points.
Bo Nix finished with 288 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence threw for only 189 yards and an interception.
Fantasy takeaway: Nix is becoming interesting. 288 yards against Jacksonville isn't an earth-shattering performance, but the passing volume and fourth-quarter comeback are worth noting. Don't forget him in deeper leagues or DFS.
THE BIGGEST BETTING LESSONS FROM SUNDAY
Week 2 produced several results that should influence how bettors look at Week 3. Teams whose market perception changed today:
Las Vegas Raiders — 2-0. Vegas isn't the same team everybody expected to see this season.
Seattle Seahawks — 2-0. Seattle's defense looks legitimate, and JSN is turning into an offensive centerpiece.
Cincinnati Bengals — 2-0. The defense suddenly looks dramatically improved.
New Orleans Saints — 1-1. Beating Baltimore in Baltimore is the kind of result that gets attention.
Cleveland Browns — 1-1. Cleveland winning at Tampa was another unexpected result.
Los Angeles Chargers — 0-2. This is becoming a real problem.
Houston Texans — 0-2. After scoring 31 against Buffalo, six points against Cincinnati is a massive warning sign.
Atlanta Falcons — 0-2. Losing 34-3 is not something you can simply shrug off.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers — 0-2. Tampa is another team that now has to answer some serious questions.

PLAYERS WHO LOST VALUE TODAY
