Fantasy Free Agents For Week 6
Cee Powell
As Week 6 starts in fantasy football. Some of us have been feasted on by the injury bug!
Every week someone is reported has “questionable” or “doubtful” right when you start
setting up your lineup, and we start digging into the wavier wire. Well, I’m here to help! Below
are a few players I feel are worth at least looking into or just having on your bench in case that
time comes when every trade is getting denied:

Germie Bernard - (WR) Pittsburgh Steelers: With Michael Pittman (Foot) on IR, & Roman
Wilson (Finger) out for multiple weeks , The Steelers WR Group is pretty thin. most likely
we’ll see DK get majority of the targets, and probably a heavy dose of running from
Jaylen Warren. However, Bernard gives you that kind of Josh Down type of player you
can use as a Flex or WR2. While The next 3 games have a bit of see-saw match-up (
Tampa-Fantasy Points Allowed: 18.5 PPG allowed to wide receivers (Ranks Third-
toughest in the NFL), New Orleans- Fantasy Points Allowed: 19.5 PPG allowed to wide
receivers (Ranks Fifth-toughest in the NFL), and Cleveland Fantasy Points Allowed: 25.4
PPG allowed to wide receivers (Ranks 28th in the NFL—meaning they give up the 5th-most
points) I do feel Bernard can be a solid flex or WR 2 or 3 during those 3 games before thier
BYE week.
Dameon Pierce - (RB) Philadelphia Eagles: This is a shot in the dark. But if you are
desperate in the RB department, Pierce might be your last hope. With Barkley dealing
with a hamstring, Shipley with foot issues, and Tank Bigsby dealing with abdomen issues
Pierce is that “Last Call” if you need that slot filled if all trade request are DENIED!!!!
Now the Eagles Play Carolina this week, which allows the 3rd most fantasy points to RB’s.
So this MIGHT be that shot in the dark that goes through.
Brandin Cooks- (WR) San Francisco 49er’s: With the 49ers WR crew pretty much in ICU,
Pearsall (Out for the season with a knee/PCL surgery injury), De'Zhaun Stribling: Out for
multiple months with an ankle injury, Demarcus Robinson: On injured reserve with an
ankle injury, Christian Kirk: Working through a calf injury (designated for IR return
window), Deebo Samuel: Suffered a right hamstring injury. Cooks could be a valuable
Flex for the 49ers since the next 3 games (Wash, ATL, Las Vegas) are against teams who
have a generous giving of fantasy points to Receivers ( Avg 14.5 fpts).
