GAME-BY-GAME BREAKDOWN
1.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS AT
LOS ANGELES RAMS
The Battle of Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium, and the Chargers are still looking for their first win. They come off their bye after a 22-6 loss in Kansas City. The Rams won 35-21 in Las Vegas.
DFS targets:
Injury watch: The Chargers have ruled out safety Derwin James (hamstring), receiver Brenen Thompson and guard Kayode Awosika. For the Rams, Davante Adams is still out, and cornerback Trent McDuffie (groin) and tight end Colby Parkinson (rib) are questionable. Myles Garrett is on injured reserve.
Betting angle: The Rams are favored by nearly a touchdown. The case for the Chargers is a rested team getting points in a game played in a stadium they share. The case for the Rams is an 0-6 opponent that has struggled to protect Herbert. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: With Adams out, Nacua is getting the large majority of the Rams' targets and is a cash-game anchor. Williams is the volume back if the Rams play from in front. On the Chargers side, McConkey practiced fully this week after a concussion and is the receiver to pair with Herbert in tournaments.
2.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AT
MIAMI DOLPHINS
An AFC East game with the Patriots trying to keep pace with Buffalo. New England has had extra rest since its 30-24 Thursday night loss in Chicago, while Miami beat the Jets 28-25.
DFS targets:
Injury watch: New England has ruled out A.J. Brown (knee, ankle) and TreVeyon Henderson (illness). Miami is without running back De'Von Achane, who is on injured reserve, and has ruled out lineman Kadyn Proctor.
Betting angle: New England is favored on the road by close to a touchdown, even without Brown and Henderson. Miami's case is a home underdog coming off a win. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Stevenson becomes New England's lead back with Henderson out, and Henry should see extra targets with Brown sidelined. With De'Von Achane on injured reserve, Miami's offense runs through Malik Willis, who makes a low-owned tournament quarterback.
3.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS AT
DENVER BRONCOS
A first-place AFC West fight. Kansas City was held to three points in a 20-3 loss in Seattle on Sunday night, and Denver won 30-16 in Arizona.
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Rashee Rice returns for Kansas City from a hamstring injury. Denver has ruled out running back RJ Harvey (knee) and safety Talanoa Hufanga, and Jaylen Waddle (chest) is questionable.
Betting angle: Kansas City is a short road favorite in a near pick'em, and the total is one of the lowest on the board. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Dobbins should handle most of the carries with Harvey out. Rice's return gives Mahomes his top target back, which makes a Mahomes-Rice stack a strong tournament play at a low total.
4.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS: SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Two NFC East teams with a combined three wins. Philadelphia is on a short week after it lost 38-21 to Dallas on Monday night, with Tanner McKee starting in place of Jalen Hurts, who is expected to miss the rest of the season. Washington comes off its bye after a 23-17 loss in San Francisco.
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Saquon Barkley is back after missing two games with a hamstring injury. The Eagles have ruled out receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks. Washington is without receiver Terry McLaurin, who is on injured reserve, and defensive tackle Daron Payne (foot) and receiver Treylon Burks (foot) are questionable.
Betting angle: Washington is favored at home by close to a touchdown, and the total is one of the lowest of the week. Philadelphia's case is Barkley's return. Washington's case is a rested team at home against a backup quarterback. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Barkley is the Eagles' safest DFS play. Lemon should see a big target share with Smith and Wicks out. On the Washington side, with McLaurin on injured reserve, Daniels and Stefon Diggs are the stack, and Makai Lemon is the cheaper bring-back on the Eagles side.
INJURY REPORT: PLAYERS TO WATCH
These are the final designations for the late and primetime games. Questionable doesn't automatically mean a player will sit.
- A.J. Brown, Patriots WR: out (knee, ankle)
- TreVeyon Henderson, Patriots RB: out (illness)
- Davante Adams, Rams WR: out
- Derwin James, Chargers S: out (hamstring)
- RJ Harvey, Broncos RB: out (knee)
- DeVonta Smith, Eagles WR: out (hamstring)
- Jalen Hurts, Eagles QB: out
- De'Von Achane, Dolphins RB: injured reserve
- Terry McLaurin, Commanders WR: injured reserve
- Jaylen Waddle, Broncos WR: questionable (chest)

DFS: THE LATE SLATE'S PLAYERS TO BUILD AROUND
Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels
Running back: Saquon Barkley, Kyren Williams, J.K. Dobbins, Rhamondre Stevenson
Wide receiver: Puka Nacua, Rashee Rice, Stefon Diggs, Makai Lemon
Tight end: Travis Kelce, Hunter Henry
Flex: Courtland Sutton, Ladd McConkey, Xavier Worthy
Cash games: Nacua and Barkley are the volume anchors.
GPP tournaments: Mahomes-Rice, or Daniels-Diggs with a Barkley bring-back on Sunday night.
Salary savings: Stevenson and Dobbins take over backfields with the starters out.
Avoid: locking Waddle or Burks before inactives.
Build it in the DFS Lineup Generator, check it in the Lineup Doctor, and compare value on the NFL DFS page, the NFL DFS value page, the start/sit board and the NFL volume board.
SUNDAY LATE BETTING CARD: PARLAYS AND TEASERS
Every leg below links to our pick on that game, so check the call before you play it, and run any game through the NFL Game Simulator first.
PARLAY NO. 1: THE LATE FAVORITES
Three favorites, each with a reason to slip: the Chargers are rested, the Patriots are without Brown and Henderson, and the Commanders still haven't won a game with Daniels on the field this season.
PARLAY NO. 2: THE PLAYER PROP WATCHLIST
- Puka Nacua 80 or more receiving yards
- Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown
- Rhamondre Stevenson 60 or more rushing yards
- J.K. Dobbins 60 or more rushing yards
Compare every prop on the NFL props page and see how often each player has cleared on the NFL prop hit rate board.
PARLAY NO. 3: SUNDAY NIGHT SCRIPT
Commanders moneyline (our pick)- Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown
- Stefon Diggs 60 or more receiving yards
A same-game build for primetime: Washington wins at home, Barkley still finds the end zone, and Diggs gets his work against an Eagles team missing a cornerback.
TEASER NO. 1: THROUGH THE KEY NUMBERS
Broncos teased from a short home underdog past a touchdown (our pick)
Patriots teased from close to a touchdown favorite to about a point (our pick)
Six points takes Denver through both three and seven, the two most common final margins in football, in a low-total game where points will be hard to come by.
TEASER NO. 2: LOS ANGELES AND LANDOVER
Rams teased from nearly a touchdown down to about a point (our pick)
Commanders teased down to roughly a pick'em (our pick)
Both home favorites only have to win the game, and both get through the field goal.
Plug the exact numbers into the NFL Teaser Generator and the teaser calculator, build your own in the NFL Parlay Builder or the NFL Slip Builder, let the AI Parlay Generator build one for you, then run it through the Parlay Doctor and the parlay calculator. Parlays and teasers multiply risk: every leg must win. Our official side and total on every game is on the NFL verdicts page.
THE FANTASYDAILIES FINAL WORD
