GAME-BY-GAME BREAKDOWN
1.
BALTIMORE RAVENS AT
BUFFALO BILLS
This is the headline game of the early slate. Lamar Jackson returns from the ankle injury that sidelined him, and Baltimore is coming off a 35-13 home loss to Cincinnati. Buffalo is rested off its bye after a 33-30 win in Las Vegas, and has the home field. Baltimore has the firepower to make this uncomfortable for the Bills.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: DJ Moore (shoulder) and Dalton Kincaid (chest) are questionable for Buffalo. Baltimore has ruled out safety Jaylinn Hawkins and guard Vega Ioane.
Betting angle: Buffalo is favored by a field goal or a hook more at home, and this is one of the two highest totals on the board. Jackson's health and Baltimore's offensive-line injuries are the swing factors. Our call on the side and the total is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Allen and Jackson are premium tournament quarterbacks. Consider pairing either with a primary receiving option rather than spreading exposure across every skill player. Mark Andrews is the tight end to stack with Jackson.
2.
TENNESSEE TITANS AT
CINCINNATI BENGALS
Cincinnati enters as the biggest favorite of the early window, fresh off that 35-13 win in Baltimore, against a 1-6 Tennessee team that lost 27-24 at home to Cleveland and just traded defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to Chicago.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Tennessee has ruled out running back Tyjae Spears (knee) and rookie receiver Carnell Tate (shoulder), and Calvin Ridley (hip) is questionable. Tony Pollard carries no injury designation.
Betting angle: Cincinnati is laying a double-digit number, and the number has moved this week, so check it on the NFL odds heat map before you build. Big spreads cut both ways: a late Titans touchdown is all it takes. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Chase is an attractive receiving option. Cincinnati's backfield becomes particularly interesting if the Bengals build an early lead. On the Tennessee side, Pollard should see a heavy workload with Spears out, and Cam Ward needs targets with Tate sidelined.
3.
CLEVELAND BROWNS AT
PITTSBURGH STEELERS
A physical AFC North matchup between two 5-2 teams, where defensive pressure and turnovers could dictate the outcome. Cleveland won 27-24 in Tennessee, and Pittsburgh beat New Orleans 16-10.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Pittsburgh has ruled out cornerbacks Brandin Echols and Doneiko Slaughter. Cleveland tackle Tytus Howard (concussion) is questionable.
Betting angle: Pittsburgh is favored by a field goal and a hook, and this carries the lowest total of the early window. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Look toward running backs and short-area receiving options rather than assuming this becomes a passing shootout. Pittsburgh's two missing corners could open things up for Cleveland's pass catchers.
4.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT
DETROIT LIONS
This NFC North showdown has major divisional implications. Minnesota is 6-0, the only unbeaten team in the league, after a 16-10 win over Indianapolis. Detroit beat Green Bay 20-17 and gets the advantage of playing at home.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Jahmyr Gibbs and Aaron Jones carry no injury designations. Detroit has ruled out safety Kerby Joseph.
Betting angle: Detroit is favored by a field goal or a hook at home. Getting points with an unbeaten team is the obvious case for Minnesota. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Gibbs is an appealing option because of his rushing and receiving potential. Jefferson and St. Brown are strong tournament targets, and Joseph's absence helps Minnesota's passing game.
5.
ATLANTA FALCONS AT
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
This matchup could provide some sneaky DFS value. Atlanta beat San Francisco 29-20, while Tampa Bay hung 43 points on Carolina.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Tampa Bay has ruled out Emeka Egbuka (foot). Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin are off the final injury report. Atlanta has ruled out running back Brian Robinson Jr.
Betting angle: Tampa Bay is a short home favorite and the price moved toward the Bucs this week. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Robinson offers an attractive combination of rushing volume and receiving upside, especially with Brian Robinson Jr. out. With Egbuka out, Godwin and Irving become even bigger parts of Tampa Bay's offense.
6.
ARIZONA CARDINALS AT
DALLAS COWBOYS
One of the best games for fantasy purposes, carrying one of the two highest totals on the slate. Dallas is on a short week after a 38-21 Monday night win in Philadelphia, and Arizona lost 30-16 to Denver.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: George Pickens (shoulder, hamstring) is questionable for Dallas, and KaVontae Turpin is out.
Betting angle: Dallas is a solid home favorite. Arizona could create fantasy opportunities if it is forced to throw. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Prioritize high-volume receivers. If you're building tournament lineups, consider a Prescott-Lamb stack and bring it back with McBride. Note that Marvin Harrison Jr. is no longer a Cardinal: he was traded to Houston, and the Texans are on bye.
7.
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS AT
NEW YORK JETS
Jets fans have another opportunity to see whether their team can turn a home matchup into a meaningful win. New York lost 28-25 to Miami, and Las Vegas lost 35-21 to the Rams.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Breece Hall (quad) is questionable. The Jets have ruled out Joseph Ossai and T'Vondre Sweat, and David Bailey is doubtful.
Betting angle: Basically a coin flip: the books haven't even agreed on who is favored. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Hall is worth watching, but don't automatically lock him into every lineup. If he sits or his workload is limited, Braelon Allen is next in line. Bowers is an interesting receiving option on the Raiders side.
8.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS AT
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Jacksonville enters as a sizable favorite, and the number has grown this week after the Colts traded away Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. Indianapolis lost 16-10 in Minnesota.
Our pick on this game | Run it 10,000 times in the NFL Game Simulator | Live box score
DFS targets:
Injury watch: Jakobi Meyers (hamstring, ankle) is questionable for Jacksonville. The Colts have ruled out Anthony Gould.
Betting angle: Jacksonville is laying a big number at home. Indianapolis needs to establish its running game to keep the Jaguars' offense off the field. Our call is on the NFL verdicts page.
Fantasy strategy: Taylor is a volume-based DFS consideration and is still in Indianapolis despite the trade talk. Jacksonville's passing game offers upside if Indianapolis falls behind.
INJURY REPORT: PLAYERS TO WATCH
These are the final designations for the early games. Questionable doesn't automatically mean a player will sit.
- Tyjae Spears, Titans RB: out (knee)
- Carnell Tate, Titans WR: out (shoulder)
- Emeka Egbuka, Buccaneers WR: out (foot)
- Breece Hall, Jets RB: questionable (quad)
- Calvin Ridley, Titans WR: questionable (hip)
- DJ Moore, Bills WR: questionable (shoulder)
- Dalton Kincaid, Bills TE: questionable (chest)
- George Pickens, Cowboys WR: questionable (shoulder, hamstring)
- Jakobi Meyers, Jaguars WR: questionable (hamstring, ankle)
- Aaron Jones, Tony Pollard, Bucky Irving, Chris Godwin and Jahmyr Gibbs: no injury designation
Inactives drop 90 minutes before kickoff. Check them on the NFL injury report, the NFL depth charts, the NFL player news and the player news wire before you lock lineups.
DFS: SUNDAY'S PLAYERS TO BUILD AROUND
Quarterback: Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott
Running back: Jahmyr Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor, Bijan Robinson, Derrick Henry
Wide receiver: Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown
Tight end: Brock Bowers, Mark Andrews, Trey McBride
Flex: Breece Hall (if active), Zay Flowers, Bucky Irving
Cash games: prioritize secure workloads and touches.
GPP tournaments: target quarterback-receiver stacks in the two highest-total games.
Contrarian plays: look at underused receivers in high-total games.
Salary savings: watch for backfield opportunities created by injuries, starting with Pollard in Tennessee.
Avoid: locking questionable players before official inactives.

SUNDAY BETTING CARD: PARLAYS AND TEASERS
The goal is to build tickets around how these games are likely to unfold, not to string together favorites and hope. Every leg below links to our pick on that game, so check the call before you play it, and run any game through the NFL Game Simulator first.
PARLAY NO. 1: EARLY SLATE HOME FAVORITES
Bills moneyline (our pick)
Bengals moneyline (our pick)
Lions moneyline (our pick)
Cowboys moneyline (our pick)
Four home favorites, but each has a reason to slip: an unbeaten Vikings team in Detroit, a Cowboys team on a short week, and Lamar Jackson back for Baltimore.
PARLAY NO. 2: THE TOTALS
Totals have moved all week, and Falcons-Buccaneers has been posted anywhere from 43.5 to 46.5 depending on the book. Get the live number on the NFL odds heat map and check stadium conditions on the NFL weather page before you lock it.
PARLAY NO. 3: PLAYER PROP WATCHLIST
- Jahmyr Gibbs anytime touchdown
- Ja'Marr Chase 70 or more receiving yards
- Josh Allen 25 or more rushing yards
- Bijan Robinson 50 or more rushing yards
Compare every prop on the NFL props page and see how often each player has cleared on the NFL prop hit rate board.
TEASER NO. 1: THROUGH THE FIELD GOAL
Bills teased from a field-goal favorite to a small home underdog (our pick)
Lions teased from a field-goal favorite to a small home underdog (our pick)
Steelers teased from a field-goal favorite to a small home underdog (our pick)
A six-point teaser moves all three of these favorites through three, the most common final margin in football, so each team only has to avoid losing by more than a couple of points at home.
TEASER NO. 2: BIG FAVORITES DOWN TO SIZE
Cowboys teased down to roughly a pick'em (our pick)
Jaguars teased down to a field goal or a little more (our pick)
Teasing these two takes the Cowboys from a touchdown-ish favorite to needing just a win, and asks the Jaguars to win by about a field goal instead of double digits.
Plug the exact numbers into the NFL Teaser Generator and the teaser calculator, build your own in the NFL Parlay Builder or the NFL Slip Builder, let the AI Parlay Generator build one for you, then run it through the Parlay Doctor and the parlay calculator. Parlays and teasers multiply risk: every leg must win. Our official side and total on every game is on the NFL verdicts page.
