By FantasyDailies · October 24, 2026

FantasyDailies | NHL | Saturday, October 24, 2026

Saturday is the busiest night of the NHL week: 12 games, from Anaheim at Philadelphia at 1 p.m. to two 10 p.m. puck drops out West. Only five of the 24 starting goalies were confirmed by mid-morning, so this preview is built for research, not guesses. Follow every game live in the Game Zone, check the finals on the NHL box scores, and keep the NHL player news open for late scratches.

GAME BY GAME

Toronto Maple Leafs at Edmonton Oilers, 7:00. The marquee game. Edmonton has the best record in the West and won its last two, 6-5 over Carolina and 4-3 over Minnesota. Connor McDavid has opened the season in top form. But the Oilers are banged up: Mattias Ekholm is out at least a week after a hit from Carolina's William Carrier, Devon Levi is on injured reserve, and Jason Dickinson is on injured reserve. Tristan Jarry starts in goal. Toronto beat the Rangers 5-4 on Thursday but is without John Tavares, Chris Tanev, Nick Blankenburg and Marshall Rifai, all week to week, and recalled Cole McWard and Dakota Mermis. See the Hurricanes-Oilers box score.

Carolina Hurricanes at St. Louis Blues, 7:00. Carolina leads the Metropolitan Division and lost 6-5 in Edmonton on Thursday after beating Vancouver 6-3. St. Louis is coming off a 6-2 win over Vegas. Both goalies are unconfirmed. The team defense shows how each team defends.

San Jose Sharks at Boston Bruins, 7:00. Boston leads the Atlantic and shut out Nashville 6-0 on Thursday. Jeremy Swayman is confirmed. San Jose is coming off a 6-2 win in Ottawa but may be without Igor Chernyshov, who blocked a slap shot in that game.

Los Angeles Kings at New Jersey Devils, 3:30. New Jersey beat Anaheim 4-1 on Thursday. Los Angeles won 3-2 on Long Island the same night and is still searching for its footing. Both goalies are unconfirmed.

Nashville Predators at Pittsburgh Penguins, 7:00. Pittsburgh shut out Florida 4-0 on Thursday. Nashville was shut out 6-0 in Boston the same night. Arturs Silovs is the likely Pittsburgh starter.

Buffalo Sabres at Washington Capitals, 7:00. Charlie Lindgren is confirmed for Washington. Buffalo lost 3-1 at home to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Special teams are the swing factor; the power play leaders shows who has been converting.

Vegas Golden Knights at Columbus Blue Jackets, 7:00. Vegas has lost two straight, 6-2 to Tampa Bay and 6-2 in St. Louis. Carter Hart is projected but unconfirmed for Vegas, and Cam Talbot is likely for Columbus.

New York Rangers at Ottawa Senators, 7:00. Ottawa beat Florida 5-1 on Wednesday, then lost 6-2 to San Jose on Thursday. Toronto beat the Rangers 5-4 the same night. Jonas Johansson is confirmed for Ottawa. Early reports on the Rangers' goalie and lineup conflicted, so wait for the confirmation.

Anaheim Ducks at Philadelphia Flyers, 1:00. Joseph Woll is confirmed for Philadelphia, which won 3-1 in Buffalo on Wednesday. Anaheim lost 4-1 in New Jersey on Thursday and placed defenseman Pavel Mintyukov on injured reserve for the rest of its road trip.

Tampa Bay Lightning at Utah Mammoth, 9:00. Tampa Bay lost 6-3 in Colorado on Friday night and plays the second half of a back-to-back. Watch who starts in goal and whether anyone rests. Utah lost 5-3 in Seattle on Thursday. The back-to-back tracker shows every back-to-back of the season.

Detroit Red Wings at Calgary Flames, 10:00. Detroit won 5-2 in Vancouver on Thursday. Calgary beat Minnesota 2-1 the same night. Both goalies are unconfirmed.

Minnesota Wild at Seattle Kraken, 10:00. Minnesota lost 2-1 in Calgary on Thursday, its second straight loss after a 4-3 defeat in Edmonton. Seattle beat Utah 5-3. The goalie-save markets here depend entirely on who starts.

Role beats reputation in hockey DFS: a skater promoted to the top line or the first power-play unit can outscore a bigger name playing fewer minutes. Start with the NHL DFS value plays and the NHL start/sit board, check the points leaders, shots leaders and goals leaders, and rotate builds with the lineup shuffler. Our NHL projections lay out expected output by player.

PARLAY RESEARCH

Every extra leg is another way for a ticket to lose. Build on the NHL parlay builder or the NHL slip builder, run it through the parlay calculator, and turn any price into a percentage with the odds converter. Here is an illustrative three-leg ticket built on players, not sides or totals:

All three players have to be in the lineup and on their usual lines. No ticket is guaranteed. Our picks on sides and totals are on the NHL verdicts page and nowhere else.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Saturday has a full menu, but there is no reason to bet every game. Wait for the goalie confirmations, account for the Oilers' and Maple Leafs' injuries and Tampa Bay's back-to-back, and keep straight bets and parlays separate. Follow every goal in the Game Zone and start everything else at the NHL hub.
