NHL Start Sit Tonight

Every NHL player graded off usage and matchup — the work he actually gets against what the defence across from him allows. The tool that judges any two men head to head is here.

About NHL start/sit tonight

Who to start and who to sit in NHL fantasy tonight: every skater and goalie graded on ice time, line deployment and power-play role, the matchup, injuries and the props posted on him. A skater moved up to the top line or the first power-play unit climbs the board fast, and goalies are judged on the shots they are likely to face.

Why does deployment matter so much?

Top-line and power-play minutes drive most hockey scoring, so a promotion changes a skater's night more than anything else.
