Twelve games, two unbeaten teams on the road, Anthony Edwards and Paolo Banchero out, and three teams on the second night of a back-to-back. Here is everything you need before tipoff.
NBA | Wednesday, October 28, 2026
The NBA brings a 12-game Wednesday card, and if you are building DFS lineups, hunting props or putting together a same-game parlay, tonight has plenty to work with, along with enough injury questions to turn your lineup into a last-minute science experiment.
The edge tonight won't come from picking the biggest stars. It will come from knowing which players inherit extra minutes, which teams can exploit thin rotations, and which spots are worth attacking before tipoff.
Tonight's first rule: confirm the starting five before you lock anything. Our NBA Starting Lineups page tracks projected and confirmed starters for all 12 games and updates as teams announce, so it is the first stop before every DFS entry and every slip.

GAMES TO TARGET FOR DFS AND PROPS
1. 76ers at Pacers, 7:00 PM (box score)
Philadelphia is 3-1 and Indiana's backcourt is in flux. Haliburton (hamstring) and Nembhard (neck) are both questionable, and McConnell and Zubac are out. If either guard sits, the remaining ball handlers pick up touches, though more usage does not automatically mean a good DFS return.
DFS angle: watch the Pacers' available guards for a salary discount once the NBA Starting Lineups page confirms who starts. Philadelphia's primary scorers are the steadier options.
2. Wizards at Cavaliers, 7:00 PM (box score)
Cleveland edged Minnesota 127-125 on Monday (box score), while Washington lost 110-103 in Charlotte (box score). The Wizards are without AJ Dybantsa (ankle), which thins their rotation. A comfortable Cleveland win could limit fourth-quarter minutes for the starters.
DFS angle: prioritize secure minutes. Blowout risk caps the ceiling of Cleveland's starters.
3. Heat at Hawks, 7:00 PM (box score)
Miami is 0-4 after a 113-109 home loss to Dallas on Monday (box score). Simone Fontecchio (illness) is doubtful for Miami, and Atlanta's Aaron Wiggins (knee) is questionable.
DFS angle: target players who combine reliable minutes with ball handling or rebounding. A cheap player still needs a realistic path to production.
4. Magic at Raptors, 7:30 PM (box score)
Orlando is without Banchero and Suggs, plus Jonathan Isaac. Toronto is without Kawhi Leonard. Both offenses run through a different hierarchy tonight.
DFS angle: Orlando's remaining creators should see a usage bump. Salary and projected minutes decide whether they are true value plays.
5. Warriors at Timberwolves, 8:00 PM (box score)
Golden State is without Butler, Porzingis and Moses Moody; Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Al Horford are available. Minnesota is without Edwards, who is expected to miss up to two months after knee surgery, and DiVincenzo. The Warriors come in off a 134-114 win in Denver on Monday (box score).
DFS angle: projected minutes and usage beat reputation here. Season averages are a poor guide when this many scorers are missing.
6. Rockets at Bucks, 8:00 PM (box score)
Houston is 4-0 but without Sengun and Steven Adams, with Marcus Smart questionable. Milwaukee is 1-3 but beat Indiana 110-102 on Monday (box score) and lists no injuries.
DFS angle: Milwaukee's frontcourt deserves a closer look with Houston missing both of its regular centers.
7. Nuggets at Pelicans, 8:00 PM (box score)
New Orleans is 0-3 and without Yves Missi; Jordan Poole is probable. Denver is 1-2, with Cameron Johnson doubtful.
DFS angle: Nikola Jokic is the obvious all-around option. Check who absorbs Johnson's minutes on the NBA depth charts.
8. Thunder at Mavericks, 9:30 PM (box score)
Oklahoma City is 4-0 despite a long injury list: Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Caruso, Wallace and Nikola Topic are out, and Ajay Mitchell is questionable. Dallas has Kyrie Irving questionable, Dereck Lively II out, and Santi Aldama doubtful.
DFS angle: find who takes on OKC's missing creation, and watch Irving's status. If he sits, Dallas' remaining ball handlers move up.
9. Lakers at Clippers, 10:30 PM (box score)
The Lakers are on the second night of a back-to-back after Tuesday's loss to Portland. The Clippers are missing Beal, Ingram, Hachimura and Max Strus, so shots and minutes get redistributed.
DFS angle: the late tip creates late-swap opportunities. Check the NBA Starting Lineups page right before 10:30.
Also on the card: Hornets at Pistons (box score), with Charlotte missing Knueppel, Coby White and Grant Williams and Detroit missing Duren and Joe; Knicks at Bulls (box score); and Spurs at Jazz (box score), with Markkanen day-to-day and Jaren Jackson Jr. out for Utah.
NBA STARTING LINEUPS: WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE TIPOFF
Projected lineups are not confirmed lineups. Our NBA Starting Lineups page shows every projected and confirmed starting five for tonight's 12 games. Here is what to check on it:
- 76ers-Pacers: Haliburton, Nembhard and Indiana's available ball handlers.
- Heat-Hawks: the final starting fives and Atlanta's rotation.
- Magic-Raptors: Orlando's replacement starters for Banchero and Suggs.
- Warriors-Timberwolves: who takes on the scoring and playmaking.
- Rockets-Bucks: Houston's frontcourt without Sengun and Adams.
- Thunder-Mavericks: Oklahoma City's replacements and Irving's status.
- Lakers-Clippers: both rotations, and any Lakers rest on the back-to-back.
Pair the starting lineups with the NBA depth charts to see how deep each rotation runs, and the minutes leaders to see who is actually getting time.
NBA DFS VALUE PLAYS
The best value plays are players whose salaries haven't caught up with their new roles. These are the spots to investigate rather than treating every cheap player as a bargain.
Value spotWhy it mattersIndiana's available guardsHaliburton and Nembhard are questionable, and McConnell is outOrlando's healthy creatorsBanchero and Suggs out concentrates the offenseGolden State's remaining wingsButler, Porzingis and Moody out changes minutes and usageMinnesota's available scorersEdwards and DiVincenzo out opens shots for othersMilwaukee's frontcourtHouston is without Sengun and AdamsOklahoma City's healthy rotationFive rotation players out means extra minutesThe Clippers' available rotationBeal, Ingram, Hachimura and Strus are all outStrategy: before locking a value player, check four things: projected minutes, salary, usage and matchup. A cheap player projected for 28 minutes can beat a bigger name expected to play 18.
For tournaments, pair a high-usage player with a teammate who benefits from the same game environment. For cash games, take secure playing time and a dependable floor.
Build it in the DFS Lineup Generator, run it through the Lineup Doctor, and compare value on the NBA DFS value page and NBA start/sit board. The NBA hot list, NBA heat map and NBA team streaks show who is rolling.
PLAYER PROPS AND PARLAYS
A long parlay looks exciting, but every leg is another way to lose. Build around a few defensible positions instead of trying to call everything across 12 games.
Prop angles to research:
- A primary creator's assists after a teammate is ruled out.
- A center's rebounds against a team missing frontcourt depth, like Houston tonight.
- A healthy star's points when his team's offense is concentrated.
- Alternate points or rebounds lines when a lower threshold manages risk better.
Check every prop on the NBA props page, see how often players clear on the NBA prop hit rate board, and look at the NBA unders page for the other side. Research the matchups with NBA team offense and NBA team defense, plus the scoring leaders, rebounding leaders, assists leaders and three-point leaders.
Build your slip:
- NBA Parlay Builder and NBA Slip Builder: stack props from tonight's 12 games
- AI Parlay Generator: let the AI build a slip from tonight's board
- Parlay Builder: custom slips across every sport
- Parlay Doctor: check for weak legs and correlation before you place it
- parlay calculator: see what your legs pay together
- parlay hub: every parlay tool in one place
What about teasers? Football-style point teasers are not standard in basketball, and where alternate spreads and totals are offered, the prices and rules vary. If you work with alternate lines, run them through the teaser calculator first.
For our official calls on every game, head to the NBA verdicts page. The picks live there, and only there.
FANTASYDAILIES FINAL TAKE
Tonight's slate is about opportunity, availability and price. The best DFS lineup won't necessarily have the most expensive stars. It will have players whose minutes and roles justify their salaries.
Keep an eye on the Indiana backcourt, Orlando's replacement rotation, the Warriors and Timberwolves absences, Houston without its centers, Oklahoma City's thin lineup, and the three back-to-back teams. Those are the spots most likely to change how tonight plays out.
Don't lock your lineup too early, and don't chase a losing parlay. Confirm every starter on the NBA Starting Lineups page, watch it all in Game Zone, and talk about it in the community forum.
