From the Rock to the Strip: How Gary Wilkos Built an Empire with Ticket Media Corp

Look, if you’re from Staten Island, you already know the deal. You grow up running those streets, crossing that Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge every time you want to hit the rest of the world, paying that heavy toll both on your wallet and your patience. I’m a 53-year-old Staten Islander, a proud St. Peter’s High School guy, and I know what shapes a person from back home. It takes grit, loyalty, and a work ethic that doesn’t back down from anything.
When I moved out here to Las Vegas, I thought I was leaving all of that behind. But what are the odds? Two guys from Staten Island, both leaving the shadow of that Verrazzano, making the cross-country move to the desert, and crossing paths out in Vegas. It was pure coincidence, but looking back, it felt like it was meant to be.
From the day we first connected, Gary embraced me like family. That’s just who he is.

Before he was taking over the hospitality world, Gary was a standout athlete. He was a powerhouse quarterback back in the day, taking his athletic talents to the University of Massachusetts. He didn't just play—he dominated, earning the Yankee Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors in 1990 as UMass’s starting signal-caller. That athletic background gave him the vision, drive, and composure under pressure that he carries into business every single day.

For the past 25 years, Gary has been running Ticket Media Corp as its President. If you’ve ever wondered who makes the impossible happen behind the scenes at the biggest sporting events on earth—the Super Bowl, The Masters, the Kentucky Derby, the Final Four—it’s Gary and his team. Ticket Media Corp handles everything from private aviation and 5-star accommodations to premium access and bespoke corporate hospitality for major gaming organizations and high-net-worth clients. They make complex, high-stakes luxury execution look absolutely effortless.
Despite all his massive success on the West Coast, Gary has never lost his footing. He is a true family man through and through, with deep roots still planted firmly back on Staten Island. He brings that tight-knit, home-grown mentality into everything he touches. Out here in Vegas, he created a home away from home, showing me that no matter how far you travel from the island, the real ones always stick together.

God is continually blessing me to be around GREAT AWESOME PEOPLE!!! Especially MY GUY GARY!!!!
#STAYBLESSED Gary... you, your Mrs., Son... and all yours that you consider close. And one day, our old butts will make something happen to get together (definitely before 10pm lolll). And tell your Dad that soon as I touch back down to the Island, Oakwood will be one of the first places I'm going.
Signing off....
