The Octagon is back in Las Vegas tonight with a heavyweight main event that promises fireworks. UFC Fight Night: Waldo Cortes Acosta vs. Johnny Walker brings established contenders, rising prospects and plenty of matchups that open doors for fantasy players and MMA bettors.
This headliner came together on short notice. The card was supposed to be topped by Sean Brady and Gabriel Bonfim at welterweight, but Brady withdrew with a knee infection, and the two heavyweights stepped up to take the five-round slot. Everybody on the card made weight at Friday's weigh-ins.
Prelims start at 5:00 PM ET. The main card starts at 8:00 PM ET. The whole event streams on Paramount+. Follow every round live, with method, round and time as each fight ends, in the UFC Game Zone.
Every line below is from our board as of Saturday morning. Prices move, so check them again before you play anything.
Main Event: Waldo Cortes Acosta vs. Johnny Walker
Heavyweight, five rounds
Cortes Acosta (17-4) vs. Walker (23-10)
- Cortes Acosta: -230
- Walker: +190
- Rounds: over 1.5 (-220), under 1.5 (+170)
This is an intriguing heavyweight fight between two men who take very different routes to the win. They also weighed in 23 pounds apart: Cortes Acosta at 262, Walker at 239.
Cortes Acosta is the more consistent, disciplined fighter. His striking volume and steady pressure make him a tough out over multiple rounds. He comes in off a unanimous-decision loss to Curtis Blaydes, so he has something to prove.
Walker is the wild card. The former light heavyweight knocked out Mick Parkin with a first-round flying knee in his heavyweight debut. He's dangerous at range, has rare athleticism for the division, and can end a fight in one explosive sequence. The question has always been consistency and defensive discipline.
What to watch: can Walker use his reach and movement to keep Cortes Acosta uncomfortable, or will Cortes Acosta walk him into exchanges where his technical striking takes over?
DFS angle: Cortes Acosta is the steadier play. Walker brings serious knockout upside at plus money, and the +170 on under 1.5 rounds tells you the board sees real early-finish potential.
The board's favorite: Cortes Acosta at -230.
Co-Main Event: Tatiana Suarez vs. Virna Jandiroba
Women's strawweight
Suarez (13-1) vs. Jandiroba (23-4)
- Suarez: -200
- Jandiroba: +168
- Rounds: over 2.5 (-370), under 2.5 (+280)
This could be the most technically interesting fight on the card, and it has real title stakes. Mackenzie Dern holds the strawweight belt, and the winner here moves to the front of the line.
Suarez brings elite wrestling and relentless grappling pressure. Her only career loss came in her title shot against Zhang Weili at UFC 312, and she says a shot at Dern "makes sense" with a win. Jandiroba is a decorated submission specialist who already fought Dern for the vacant title at UFC 321 last October. She makes opponents pay for any mistake on the mat.
What to watch: Suarez's wrestling against Jandiroba's submission game. If Suarez controls position and doesn't give up her back, she has a clear path.
DFS angle: Suarez has a strong grappling ceiling if she piles up takedowns and control time. The -370 on over 2.5 rounds says the board expects this one to go long.
The board's favorite: Suarez at -200.
The Rest of the Main Card
Davey Grant vs. Elijah Smith (bantamweight)
Grant (18-8) +240 vs. Smith (10-1) -295.
Smith is a big favorite over the veteran Grant. Grant brings experience and toughness. Smith is the younger fighter with momentum and a chance to make a statement against a name UFC fans know.
DFS angle: Smith is the favorite, but his price has to justify him. Grant is an interesting contrarian tournament play.
Billy Elekana vs. Lucas Fernando (light heavyweight)
Elekana (10-2) +265 vs. Fernando (14-3) -330.
Fernando is one of the bigger favorites on the main card. Elekana has a chance to disrupt, but the board strongly favors Fernando.
DFS angle: Fernando is the obvious side, but expensive favorites have to produce enough to earn their salary.
Priscila Cachoeira vs. Nina Milošević (women's bantamweight)
Cachoeira (13-9) +420 vs. Milošević (9-1) -560.
Milošević is the biggest favorite on the main card. Cachoeira has experience and toughness, but the board expects Milošević to control this one.
DFS angle: Milošević is a salary consideration. Cachoeira is a high-risk underdog.
Mitch Raposo vs. Marcos Degli (flyweight)
Raposo (11-3) +188 vs. Degli (15-3) -225.
A competitive flyweight fight with two men looking to make a statement. Degli is favored, but don't overlook Raposo. Flyweight fights tend to bring high-volume striking and plenty of fantasy scoring.
DFS angle: a fight worth studying for significant-strike volume and how long it lasts.
Preliminary Card (5:00 PM ET)
- Keiichiro Nakamura (8-1) -360 vs. Ollie Schmid (4-3) +290, featherweight: Nakamura is a big favorite with a chance at a dominant performance.
- Thomas Petersen (11-5) -164 vs. Gabriel Lorenço (8-1) +138, heavyweight: Petersen replaced Alvin Hines and is favored, but the closer price says Lorenço is live.
- Karine Silva (19-7) -220 vs. Gabriella Fernandes (11-4) +184, women's flyweight: Silva is favored and brings grappling-based fantasy upside.
- Jose Delano (17-3) -118 vs. Murtazali Magomedov (11-0) +100, featherweight: the closest fight on the board. Magomedov is unbeaten.
- Austin Bashi (14-2) -550 vs. Carlos Calderon (11-4) +410, featherweight: Calderon replaced the injured Lucas Brennan on short notice. That's a tough assignment on a few days' notice.
- Mantas Kondratavičius (9-1) -295 vs. Andre Petroski (13-7) +240, middleweight: Petroski replaced Wes Schultz. He has more UFC experience and could make it competitive.
- Seokhyeon Ko (13-3) -720 vs. Wellington Turman (18-8) +520, welterweight: the biggest favorite on the whole card, but Turman has far more UFC fights than the price suggests.
- José Souza (9-1) -225 vs. Jonny Parsons (9-3) +188, welterweight: Souza is favored. Worth watching for striking volume and finishing potential.

Fantasy and DFS Fighters to Watch
Potential core plays
- Waldo Cortes Acosta: main-event volume over five rounds.
- Tatiana Suarez: wrestling and control-time upside.
- Elijah Smith: a favorite with finishing upside.
- Lucas Fernando: a strong favorite on the board.
- Austin Bashi: facing a short-notice replacement.
Contrarian tournament plays
- Johnny Walker: one-shot knockout power.
- Davey Grant: the veteran underdog.
- Virna Jandiroba: a live submission threat.
- Andre Petroski: value if he can disrupt the favorite.
- Murtazali Magomedov: unbeaten and nearly a pick'em.

The FantasyDailies Fight Night Take
The short-notice heavyweight main event is the headline, but don't sleep on Suarez vs. Jandiroba. That fight could decide who's next for Mackenzie Dern.
For bettors, Cortes Acosta and Suarez are the board's two main-card anchors. For DFS, wrestling-heavy fighters and athletes with real finishing power deserve extra attention.
One thing is certain: heavyweight fights don't always need three rounds to deliver a night's entertainment.
