Pick’em Pool Rules
Pick the winners each week. Most correct climbs the standings. Season-long — a cold week costs you ground, not your spot.
Every FantasyDailies contest is P2P (peer-to-peer). Buy-ins, payouts, and buybacks are settled directly between players and the pool commissioner (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, cash). FantasyDailies never holds, routes, or touches any money and takes no cut. We provide the tools and tracking only.
How Pick’em works
- Each week, pick the winner of every game on the slate.
- You get a point for each correct pick. Most correct climbs the standings.
- It runs all season — a running leaderboard, not one-and-done. A cold week won’t knock you out; it just costs you ground.
Picks lock at each game’s kickoff. A tiebreaker (often the total points in a designated game) settles ties. Auto-pick (optional, off by default) fills any games you leave blank.
Do I have to pick every game?
Usually yes — pick’em means picking the whole slate. If you leave games blank and auto-pick is on, we fill them for you at the lock.
How are ties in the standings broken?
By the pool’s tiebreaker — commonly the total combined points of a chosen game, with the closest guess winning. Your pool’s rulebook states it.
Is it one-and-done?
No. Pick’em is season-long. You’re building a record week over week; a bad week just costs you points, not your spot.
What if I forget a week?
With auto-pick on, blank games get filled so you’re not taking zeros. With it off, unpicked games score nothing.
How does the money work?
In a money pool it’s P2P — the commissioner collects buy-ins and pays out per the pool’s payout rules. FantasyDailies never touches it.
Taxes & forms (P2P)
FantasyDailies holds no money and issues no tax forms. Any winnings, buy-ins, or commissioner rake are P2P and are your responsibility to report. Depending on your situation you may need an official IRS form — we link to the always-current versions on IRS.gov:
- Form W-9 — taxpayer ID (kept for records, not filed with the IRS)
- Form 1099-NEC — report $600+ paid to a non-employee
- Form 1099-K — payment-processor reporting (context)
