Commissioner Agreement

If you're running a pool, this is on you — and that's the deal that keeps it fair.

Every contest is P2P (peer-to-peer). As the commissioner, you collect the buy-ins and pay out the winnings directly with your players (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, cash). FantasyDailies never holds, routes, or touches a cent and takes no cut of your pool.

By creating or running a pool or contest on FantasyDailies ("you," "commissioner"), you agree to this Agreement in addition to the Terms of Service.

1.You Run the Pool — Not Us

You set your pool's rules and settings, invite and manage your players, and operate the contest. FantasyDailies provides tools and tracking only. We are not a party to your pool and do not run it, referee it, or guarantee it.

2.You Handle the Money (P2P)

All buy-ins, prizes, payouts, and any buyback or rake are P2P — collected and distributed by you, directly with your players. FantasyDailies holds nothing, processes nothing, and is not responsible if a player fails to pay or if a payout is disputed. Any "rake" or commission you keep is your arrangement with your players; it is your money to account for, not a payment from us.

3.You Verify Players & Resolve Disputes

You are responsible for knowing who is in your pool, confirming they are eligible and of legal age, and resolving any dispute among your members. FantasyDailies will not mediate money or membership disputes.

4.Results Cannot Be Overridden — By Anyone

Contest results are set by real, publicly reported game outcomes. Neither you nor FantasyDailies can change a game result. Your admin tools let you manage people and money (approve members, run buybacks, reinstate an entry for a legitimate dispute) — they never let you alter what happened on the field. Admin actions are logged. This no-override rule is the integrity backbone of the system.

5.Buybacks & Transparency

If you enable buybacks, they follow the pool's settings (cutoff week, max per entry, price). Every buyback is announced to the whole pool and logged — no secret re-entries. Buyback money is P2P, collected by you.

6.Taxes Are Your Responsibility

FantasyDailies holds no money and issues no tax forms. Winnings, buy-ins, and any rake are P2P. You are solely responsible for your own tax reporting, and for any forms your winners or payees may need.

Depending on your situation, you may need one of these official IRS forms. We link to the always-current versions on IRS.gov (we don't host copies, so you always get the correct one):

Form W-9 — Request for Taxpayer ID. You collect it from a payee and keep it for records; it is not filed with the IRS.
Form 1099-NEC — to report $600 or more you paid a non-employee.
Form 1099-K — payment-processor reporting (context for app/card payments).

7.Legality & Age

You confirm that running your contest is legal where you and your players are located, and that all participants are of legal age in their jurisdiction. If it isn't legal where your players are, don't run it there.

8.Service "AS IS" — No Guarantee, No Liability

The Service is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uptime, availability, accuracy, or data retention. FantasyDailies is not liable for outages, server failure, data loss, bugs, missed picks or deadlines, incorrect information, disputes, or contest outcomes. You use it at your own risk, and you indemnify FantasyDailies against claims arising from your pool. See the Terms of Service for full detail.

9.We May Remove Pools

We may suspend or remove any pool, account, or content at our discretion, including for abuse, unlawful activity, or attempts to misuse the Service.

Ages, money, and where you are

We are software. We are not a party to your pool.

FantasyDailies provides the tools to run a pool — the board, the grading, the standings, the reminders. We never hold, transmit, escrow or process any money. There is no wallet, no balance and no account to fund. Every payment in a pool with a buy-in happens directly between the commissioner and their players, on Venmo, PayPal, Cash App or in cash, and we have no involvement in, visibility of, or responsibility for it.

The commissioner runs the pool

If you create a pool with a buy-in you are its operator. You set the amount, you collect it, you hold it and you pay it out. You are responsible for doing that honestly and for making sure the pool is lawful for you and for everyone you invite. We cannot know where your players are, what they have agreed, or whether money changed hands, and we do not verify any of it.

Age

18 or older to hold a FantasyDailies account at all.
21 or older to join any pool that has a buy-in. This is enforced by the system, not left to the commissioner to remember — if a player is under 21, or has never given us a date of birth, the join is refused.

We use a single age of 21 for pools with a buy-in. That is deliberately above the usual bar: paid fantasy contests are generally 18+, but 19+ in Alabama and Nebraska and 21+ in Arizona and Massachusetts. One number is easier to state, easier to understand, and easier to stand behind than fifty.

Where you are

Some states treat paid fantasy contests differently, and the major operators do not offer them at all in Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada or Washington. Rules in Louisiana and Oregon vary locally. By joining a pool with a buy-in you confirm that doing so is lawful where you are. If you are not sure, join a free pool — every game here runs perfectly well without money in it.

Free pools

None of the above applies to a pool with no buy-in. Those are just games, and they are the default.
