This Week's Best NFL Matchups.
How the Mismatch Machine ranks NFL matchups
A matchup is a collision between what one team does best and what its opponent defends worst. The Machine scores every collision in every game: rushing offense vs run defense, passing offense vs pass defense, each receiving room against the defense-vs-position sheets (yards allowed to WRs, TEs, RBs and QBs per game), red zone offense against red zone defense, and explosive-play rates against the defenses that allow them. The score is the rank gap β a #3 rush offense against a #30 run defense is a gap of 27, the kind of number start/sit decisions, DFS lineups and player props are built on. Ranks come from official play-by-play, rebuilt weekly during the season; until Week 3 of 2026 the board shows final 2025 numbers, clearly stamped. Every chip links to the full stat board it was pulled from, and every game links to its matchup page with the series history since 2002.
