How a box game works

A box pool — Super Bowl boxes, football squares, a box pool, whatever your crew calls it — is the easiest game in sports. No football knowledge required. Pure luck, 100 squares, four chances to win.

01

Claim your squares

Everyone picks squares on the 10×10 grid. The grid is blank — no numbers yet. That's the whole point.

02

The board fills

Once all 100 squares are taken, the board is set. Nobody has seen a single number.

03

Numbers draw themselves

The instant it fills, the server randomly draws 0–9 across the top and down the side and locks them forever.

04

Match the score

End of each quarter, take the last digit of each team's score. The square where they cross wins that payout.

Every option, your call

You're the commissioner. Set it up exactly how your group plays — the walk-down won't let you generate until every rule is locked in, so nobody argues about it later.

🏈 Any game, any sport

Pick any NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL game on the board. The teams auto-fill the two axes.

🔢 10×10 or 5×5

The classic 100-square grid, or a quick 25-square board for a smaller crew.

💰 Payouts you control

Balanced (20/20/20/40), equal quarters, progressive, a custom split, winner-take-all on the final, or a bonus on every scoring change.

🎯 Your cut, disclosed

Taking a rake to run it? Set the percentage. Players see it before they join — the pot math updates in the open.

🔒 Sealed, un-riggable draw

Numbers don't exist until the board is full, then draw on the server. Not even you can peek or redraw them.

🔁 Redraw each quarter

Optional: fresh numbers every quarter so one square can't sweep a low-scoring game.

💵 Collect your way

Show your Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App so people know how to settle up with you directly.

🔗 Public or private

Text a private link to your crew, or list it in the public lobby so anyone can fill your board.

Questions people ask

Can I run a box for a regular-season game?

Yes — any game on the board, any sport with a score. "Super Bowl box" is just the famous version. Tuesday-night baseball works exactly the same.

How do I know the numbers aren't rigged?

They can't be. The digits literally don't exist in the system until the last square is claimed. The moment the grid fills, the server draws them at random and locks them. There's no button — for anyone — to set or preview them.

Who picks the winner?

The scoreboard does. Winners are graded off the live game score — last digit of each team's score at each quarter — so it's the same for everyone and nobody's opinion enters into it.

Is this real-money gambling?

No. FantasyDailies is a free scoreboard and grid. It never touches money. Scores are kept in "sardines" as a unit only, and any settling up happens directly between you and your players, off-platform, at your own risk.
